Lay, Mui
Mui Lay Focuses on GIS and Remote Sensing, such as creating GIS data, editing, geodatabases, image processing, georectification, etc. She also manage lab equipment and train people how to use said equipment and software.
Her work on multiple mapping projects has taken her to different parts of California, such as the Sacramento delta, Plumas National Forest, San Francisco Bay, and to the deserts in the eastern Sierra. Lay and fellow colleagues have mapped Spartina in San Francisco Bay, water hyacinth in the Sacramento delta, conifers in the Sierra, and desert shrubs in the desert.
